These girls were my age…they were EVERYWHERE…in every class…on every sidewalk…in the gym…outside the gym…it seemed like there were MILLIONS of them!
I was just as good as any of the other guys I thought to myself.
I was smart…outgoing…funny…caring…athletic…I even had some hair back then!

Well…I got a nice “welcome” to real life when it came to…um…TRYING to date pretty girls.
It didn’t take very long before I was dealing with a COLD HARD FACT.

They weren’t looking for a little boy like me.

I figured…the more I work out…the bigger I’ll get right?
I started exercising 7 days a week…sometimes twice a day.
I even started skipping a class…or two….or three…to get into the campus gym at the perfect time so I could use the leg press that I liked.
I was spending 2 or sometimes 3 HOURS a DAY in the gym lifting weights and running on the treadmill.
I was working out harder and longer than anybody else.

I bought Arnold Schwarzenegger’s book, The Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding, and read it from cover to cover about five hundred times.
And finally…I brainstormed with a few of the older lifters in the gym that looked like they knew what they were doing…and had the kind of muscles that I wanted.
What was the big secret?
The answers I got were SHOCKING.
I WAS DOING EVERYTHING WRONG.
My technique was wrong.
